“Party Geniuses!” 14th April 2011, Heidelberg, Germany

These guys are party geniuses! Hanging out with them is a bit like being an extra in the best Benny Hill episodes. You have no idea how, or no idea why, but these are the guys who find the last bottle of vodka hidden behind the bar. These are also the guys who get offered a last shot of Jagermeister (or eight!) before going back to the hotel. It’s the same guys in the minibus who treat you to an exclusive, private performance of a future stillborn hit, mixed with shrieking/screaming/shrilling (do not cross out as applicable) “go straight, turn left, or right, I don’t know!! Ask the GPS!!” You didn’t like the chorus?, try to remember the one to “the gay fucking blue bue”!

Then these guys (hilarious!), a few minutes later, explain the American Football tackle by smashing you into a giant bush! #absurdity&scratches

But the touchdown of goofing around: an obscene scene with “Kranich”, the plastic, Chinese mannequin in the hotel foyer, involving making out, miming sodomy and belly laughs.

Party Geniuses – Part II _ Munich, 16th April

Shit, I’ve just found a safety pin from a fire extinguisher (or a grenade) in the pocket of my denim jacket. And I have no clue about the why, how, where, when, howmuchdidIdrink, wehadsuchlaughs! The party geniuses, The Death Set strike again. After their show, they teleported us to a private birthday party where joviality and industrial quantities of alcohol go hand in hand.

I don’t remember all the details, but I’ve had a few flashbacks. So here it is, a gift, for you, for less than free: A Best Of the good times and great laughs & delightful fun.

#1 Very very early in the morning, with the everest of alcohol at its peak, I thought it would be a great idea to borrow a little girl’s bike to mess around a bit while waiting for the taxi. The result: a black eye, a little beard of scabs and broken glasses.

#2: It’s the second time the birthday boy has asked us to calm down. With hindsight (and a little less alcohol) I’ll willingly admit that the sight of a guy doing the splits between two chairs while playing the GipsyKings on an acoustic guitar could frighten a few people. But nothing had been broken (until then) so where’s the fuck up? Well, the fuck up comes at the exact moment that Clotilde tries out her best Fosbury Flop over the couch and lands half on the floor, half on the coffee table covered in empty bottles. Instead of thanking us for clearing off the table, they ask us to leave the party. Bastards!! Well, we got an extra credit when Johnny Sierra said he’d vouch for our good behavior. (The same guy, who, with Dan, destroyed my apartment a week earlier!)

#3: A giant plunger war in the kitchen! I admit that I was on top form that night. It’s not really an excuse but maybe it explains the youtube videos of a bunch of guys battling with toilet unblockers.

My life expectancy took a serious blow. But partying with Brooklyn punks in a cellar in Munich, well, that has to be worth a few month of your old age in a wheel chair!! Shitty Nappies!
